If you are a graduate of Beverly [Massachusetts] High School in the Class of 1960, or were ever in our class at any point along the way, this is your website. These 68+ pages also may be of interest to others that were in high school with us, i.e., members of BHS classes of '58, '59, '61 and '62. There are links to the Ryal Side Elementary School page, the unofficial Camp Herrick website, and to many other Beverly related websites. You can submit pictures to share with your classmates, and enjoy well over 680+ images and photos already published here. Our classmates, who voted to establish this site at the 41st Reunion in 2001, hope everyone will use it to get in touch and stay in touch. We want to be able to contact everyone for the next newsletter, and reunion invitations. Please keep us updated with your latest email address and especially your regular USPS mailing address. If we have your email address you will receive about 2-3 unsolicited emails per year, always about BHS '60 matters. Here you can post bulletins within the guidelines of this site. Announcements will keep you informed. Perhaps you can help us locate "lost" classmates (see list)? Sadly, there is also a list of those known to have passed away. The Webmaster will help you contact your old friends from long ago if possible. Rest assured that no personal information about anyone will be posted on this site without specific permission. See below for a list of Recent Updates to This Website. Below that list appears a few current notices. |

RECENT UPDATES to THIS WEBSITE
===> Latest Update September 1, 2010 <==
Today work on adding the first 30 pictures on our 50th Reunion Page is complete, with captions.
Eventually as many as 100 or more will be published. Please consider the 50th Reunion Page a work
in progress at this time. The current layout will be tidied up quite a bit, with more photos to be added.
===> August 25, 2010 <==
Today on the "50th Reunion Page" there is now a separate section for the 2010 BHS Alumni Breakfast,
with seven photos - by Rowena, of course.
===> August 20, 2010 <==
Today on the "50th Reunion Page," the names on the list of "Who Had Paid Ticket Reservations" have started
to be linked to a head shot of that person. This will be an ongoing process. Photos by Rowena, of course.
===> August 16, 2010 <==
Today a link to that wonderful video of a pre-prom party, June 1960, was added to this page (see above).
Owner of the video, Rosalind (Barnett) Cunningham, was added to the "Thanks & Acknowledgements" list.
===> August 14-15, 20, 2010 <==
Today was added all 12 pages of the 2010 Alumni Breakfast program, so you can see who bought
tickets. Simply click on any "50th Reunion" page link, and check the bottom of the right hand column,
under the photos. Also, there are now a 2009 photo of Bob Daniels, a 1960 photo of David Dove
and 2 more from Beverly (Knowlton) Fournier on the "Photos From Classmates" page.
===> August 12, 2010 <==
I just learned that David Dove has his own website. It is for his 2nd career as a photographer.
Simply click on "Your Classmates' Websites" link on the "Home Page" under "On This Page."
===> August 09, 2010 <==
We now have a mailing address for one of our "lost" classmates, Catherine (McDonald) DiGrazia. She went
missing from the mass mailing of 06/10/09, AAMOF, the only unresolved Unable to Forward (UTF) from that.
Advance Notice: Coming soon are 170+ photos of our 50th reunion weekend, and a link to viewing Roz's DVD.
===> August 05, 2010 <==
Newsletter page revamp is complete. Understand, not all newletters are mentioned as yet, but the info that
appears here is accurate, and newsletter contents are available to read, except for the latest Connections..
===> August 03, 2010 <==
(1) Updating the "Newsletters" page is progressing nicely, still a long ways away from complete. Normally,
ongoing updates would not be noted here, but I thought it derserved a look, and (2) as the result
of a suggestion from a fan, the "Poof List" will now be called "Newly Lost Classmates" for clarity
===> July 25, 2010 <==
(1) There is an important announcement from Andrea (Raymond) Stackpole, our Reunion Committee
Secretary, on the "50th Reunion" page, and (2) A "new" classmate and "Wenham kid," J. Gregory A. (Greg)
Hill is added to our roster, and will be at the 50th reunion.

===> July 23, 2010 <==
Brooke (Chapman) Hatch sent in four very recent photos of herself and hubby Theron, sculling on Hignland Lake,
Bridgton, Maine. Great way to keep in shape, apparently. They look fantastic! Click "Photos" at top of any page.
===> July 10, 2010 <==
It seems a "missing" classmate was found, Linda (Sidell) Cote, thanks to clues provided by Grace (Cloyd) Meyer.
This took place back in June, around the 24th or so. The late posting here reflects a serious example of me not
keeping my eye on the ball. Anyway, all is well now, and the lost list is down to 21, a new all-time low.
===> July 09, 2010 <==
Some of the images in certain pages published here years ago are way too small. At that time there
were many folks that accessed the internet through dialup, so size was a consideration. I plan to
revamp some of these pages. One is now finished, as an example. Take a look at the page "Picnic at Lynch
Park I" (07/27/01). These images are now at the max I can do without more work. At that time I was
hesitant to write full captions, not knowing how that would go over with our classmates. Since then, I
know this was being over cautious, so I am filling them out as best I can. PiP I is the first of many
that will be improved in this manner. Suggestions for captions greatly appreciated. Thanks! Enjoy.
===> July 06, 2010 <==
The New Life Band Page is revived. This was the band that played at our 45th reunion in 2005.
The sound clips are back. They were removed five years ago due to a server space issue, no longer
a factor. Find the link to this page on the "45th Reunion Page." Link to latter found in any menu bar.
===> June 30, 2010 <==
1. Sad news, according to the Salem New of today, Thomas A. Field passed away Monday, June 28, 2010, at
the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Massachusetts. Click "In Memoriam" in menu bar, any page.
2. On a happier note, the paid ticket reservation list for our 50th is increasing quite a bit as the deadline is
upon us. It changes daily, so each change is not noted here. Only a few short days grace left. Hurry!

CURRENT NOTICES FROM WEBMASTER
| A Note About Facebook There are quite a few of our BHS '60 classmates that now have a Facebook page. Facebook is the number one
social networking website worldwide. It allows you to easily keep in touch with many friends at the same
time. It is a bit superficial, but fun. There are others from classes that were at BHS with us, those in
BHS '58, '59, '61, '62. People you may know are joining all the time.

Beware of All "Reunion" Pay Sites All self-described "reunion" and "find your long lost classmates" type websites are suspect, at the very least,
and if you have to pay to join, or to get access to advanced features, positively so. The only way you might find
anyone is if that person also happens to join the same website you did. These sites publish false entries with
actual names of some of your classmates. Think of a fisherman baiting a hook, or putting out a chum line (chump
line, in this case). Some of us joined one of these years ago, and proved this. Because I knew the actual location
of 300+ member of BHS '60 at that time, I could spot the bogus entries immediately.

Help!! Volunteer(s) Needed NOTICE: I think this site needs a little reorganizing and revamping. We are open to comments and suggestion on this idea and anything else, for that matter. PLEASE: If anyone with close ties to BHS Class of 1960 knows HTML, I could really use some volunteer help, on this site and especially the related Camp Herrick and Ryal Side Elementary School sites, as I do not really have the time to do everything properly. | SOMEONE CAN USE YOUR YEARBOOK |
|
Attention BHS Classes '57 through '62:
Some of our classmates do not have their yearbooks anymore, and some never had one.
Occasionally I get a query asking if a yearbook is available. Please consider sending unwanted yearbooks
to the address you see here.
Not to get overly morbid, just realistic, let your future heirs know about this. Unfortunately,
when we pass away our yearbooks are probably tossed in the trash, when they could be making
another of our classmates very happy. Thanks in advance.
